Consulting Services usually involve taking a few fundamental steps....These include a requirements definition phase to establish the product requirements.

However to give our clients a better feel for the entire process we have architected the following flowchart.

 

Once the requirements are defined the hardware must be identified and the schematic drawn.

Following the schematic design process the gerber or photo plot files must be developed.

 

Once those are complete the board may be populated as a first run prototype. Projects normally require three cycles through this development phase.

In order to decrease the development time it may be effective to use a development board or evaluation board such as the one in the image below (Microchip).
